Located inside Hermès store on rue de Sèvres in Paris, within the ritzy Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighbourhood, Le Plongeoir is the perfect spot for afternoon tea. Located on the upper level, the 30 seat Hermes cafe, Le Plongeoir offers teas and homemade pastries.
Le Plongeoir is located in the former art deco swimming pool, which has been renovated in 2010 and turned into the beautiful Hermès store that has massive wooden structures in the center of the store, surrounded by the china, bags, scarves, clothing, and homeware available for sale.
When you first enter Le Plongeoir you will see the delicious looking pastry spread of all the available desserts. For 19.50 euros you can get your choice of dessert from the table along with a pot of tea, a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. The cafe has good a selection of teas from China, Japan, Taiwan, India, and England so there will be something to appeal to every tea lover.

All the women I went with loved their desserts, opting for a peach dessert on flaky pastry I devoured every bite as it was outstanding. If you are looking for a fun stop to take a break when spending a day shopping in Paris or exploring around the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area Le Plongeoir is a great spot to sit back and relax in a designer boutique store.
