If you are lucky enough to find yourself on Australia’s Gold Coast you need to visit Burleigh Head. The easiest way to reach the Gold Coast is to fly to Brisbane and to hire a taxi to drive you (it would be a 1-hour drive).
The Gold Coast is a luxurious beach destination in Australia, famous world-renowned beaches, plenty of amusement parks, and a booming culinary scene. The most famous spot on the Gold Coast would have to be the laid back Surfer’s Paradise which is famous as you might guess for outstanding surfing.
Yet, I urge you to not only visit Surfer’s Paradise but head slightly south (15 minutes by car) to Burleigh Head. Here you can still enjoy fantastic surfing and beaches, but fewer crowds and you will be next door to some of the best restaurants in the Gold Coast.
Bon Sol Luxury Holiday Rental
For my visit to Burleigh Head, I had the pleasure of staying at the luxurious Bon Sol luxurious holiday rental. Currently, there is only one apartment called the Pandanus, but a second is scheduled to open soon. The two-bedroom Pandanus apartment is across the street from the beach, and within a 5-minute walk of plenty of extraordinary restaurants, giving it a prime location for tourists.
The spacious holiday rental had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious living room, a fully stocked kitchen, dining room, full laundry room, and an outdoor balcony.
My several day visits at the Bon Sol was a dream, and I admit I didn’t want to leave once my trip was over. The service was everything you expect from a luxury vacation rental.

When you arrive at the rental, the property manager which show you around the property and welcome you with a bottle of vintage champagne and some small snacks. You’ll also have essentials like bottles of sparkling water, Nespresso coffee pods, laundry detergent, dish detergent, and bathroom hygiene products stocked.
Moreover, if you wish you can request the property manager to stock the bar cart with any other additional alcohol you might require. They can also help you to assist with transfers to the airport or restaurant reservations. To have the perfect day at the beach you can also request a beach setup for the day with beach chairs, umbrella, and a cooler filled with soft drinks.
The professionally decorated unit perfectly reflects the comfortable and laid back beach vibe of the area. The unit mixes a variety of patterns, colors and natural fabrics spectacularly. Unlike a hotel though, small additional finishing added charm like the curated books that made it feel cozier than a hotel.
Bon Sol can comfortably sleep up to 4 people and would make the ideal beach vacation rental. Prices range from $590-790 a night depending on the season.
