Summer isn’t over yet! Head out for an amazing day outdoors and enjoy Calypso Waterpark which is a 30-minute drive outside of Ottawa in Limoges. Calypso is Canada’s biggest theme waterpark and the 100-acre park is open from June to September 4th. The massive water park is the place to go this summer with over 35 water slides and 8 restaurants so there is plenty to enjoy.
There are plenty of different types of water slides for everyone. Want to try water slides with your friends? Then you need to try the thrilling 2 person slides such as Zoomerang, Turbulence, Acid Test, Black Hole, and Summit Tower which is the tallest water slide tower in North America!
For larger groups, try Canyon Rafting and Boomerango where you can head down a waterslide in a 6 person raft, or you can race head to head at Fast Track a multi-lane waterslide.
Those seeking a more relaxing experience will love Jungle Run or Kongo Expedition where you can drift on a lazy river past tropical waterfalls. It is the perfect way to spend a lazy summer afternoon!
Meanwhile, if you been seeking a beach experience, head over to Calypso Palace which is Canada’s largest wave pool. The heated pool is the perfect spot to splash in the waves and you will feel as though you are at the beach.
To spend the ultimate summer day with your friends make sure to rent one of the luxurious private VIP cabanas which will give you 240 sq feet deck with private lounge chairs, table, and fridge. With the panoramic view of the waterpark, and access to the VIP bar you can store your stuff in your lockable cabana while you try all the slides. The cabanas are between $119-139 depending on when you visit and can fit 4 people (you can fit up to 6 people for an additional fee).
For those of you who want some extra privacy, the cabanas are the way to go. I loved having a spot to lock up my stuff, that served as a meeting spot for friends. We could just all return to our cabana for cocktails or to relax in the sun before heading out to try another waterslide.
