Next time you venture the east end of Ottawa make sure to check out Chocolats Favoris a creamery and dessert shop in Orleans. Chocolats Favoris offers a variety of sweet treats that focus on chocolate and ice cream, including truffles, chocolate fondue, blended dessert beverages, and their very popular chocolate-dipped ice cream cones.
At the store, you can purchase chocolate fondue cans which can be heated at home and used to make a delicious chocolate fondue dessert tray. I’m a huge fan of their dark chocolate fondue.
Chocolats Favoris also carries a vast assortment of truffles, ice cream flavours and drinkable desserts with fun flavours like strawberry shortcake, banana cake, pecan pie, cotton candy and s’mores.
On summer days I opt for Chocolats Favoris dipped ice cream cones. It is worth noting the ice cream cones at Chocolats Favoris are massive, and I would suggest their mini cone which is around the size of a standard-sized ice cream cone elsewhere. The cones come in 5 sizes, baby, mini, small medium and large.

The fun part (aside from eating the cone) would have to be selecting which chocolate to dip your ice cream in. The standard Chocolats Favoris chocolate flavours include crunchy hazelnut, dulce de leche, maple vanilla, Tanzania 75% dark chocolate, peanut butter, citron blanc, cotton candy, white chocolate, classic apple pie, s’mores, cookie dough, dark raspberry, orange burst, salted caramel, creamy coffee, dark chocolate, cookies and cream, hazelnut praline, and milk chocolate.
