After a beautiful stroll down Montreal’s Old Port you might find yourself searching for a place to have a cocktail or alcoholic beverage, La Champagnerie, is a champagne bar that offers an amazing selection of champagne and champagne cocktails. It is hard to not fall in love with the casual-chic champagne bar in Montreal, that blends a fun environment, friendly service and the thrill of sabering a bottle of champagne!
When you visit, make sure to order a bottle of champagne to split with your table and you will be given the opportunity to learn how to sabre a bottle of champagne! That is right, you will be able to use a small sword to cut the top of the bottle! It is actually rather easy to do, and it will be an experience you surely won’t forget.
La Champagnerie also bottles their own signature champagne, which is delightful. While I am a huge fan of bubbly, after having a glass of La Champagnerie’s own signature champagne one of my friends discovered that clearly, she had been drinking the wrong bottles as her glass made her fall in love with champagne. For food there is a variety of sharing plates from charcuterie boards or a giant chocolate dish with ice cream, it is the amazing cocktails and champagne and environment that is sure to keep everyone coming back again and again.
Next time I’m in Montreal I’m eager to return and introduce new friends to the art of sabering a bottle of Champagne.
Visit La Champagnerie to make reservations and learn how to saber a bottle of champagne.
