The majority of the time when I plan a vacation I try to fill my day from sunrise until late in the night packed with activities as I wanted to experience everything there is to do, from sights, restaurants, and activities I want to try it all. As I’ve started so frequently this has begun to change, and I’m also finding the importance in having the lazy days to recharge too. As such, I took the time to unwind at luxurious ESPA at The Europe which is set in the countryside of Killarney, Ireland.
ESPA At The Europe
The ESPA is part of the 5 star The Europe Hotel & Resort in Killarney, which is part of the ESPA portfolio of international luxury brand of hotel spas. At the Killarney location, the ESPA spa backs on shores of Loch Lein which can be seen from the indoor and outdoor hot tubs and pools at the spa. At The ESPA there is a large indoor pool, an indoor hot tub that connects to the outdoor hot tub, an additional hot tub, sauna rooms, and a gym that are provided for all hotel guests with their stay. To help you further relax there is also the option to book a private spa suite or a variety of different spa treatments.
My absolute favorite activity at the spa was blissfully soaking in the outdoor hot tub where you could turn on massaging jets to relax your muscles while enjoying the scenic view.
While it is hard to match the breathtaking view of Loch Lein from the exterior hot tub, the hot tub area beside the saunas is stunning too. The darkly lit room has a focal point of an ice fountain with a chandelier overhead where you can leave your water bottles to keep cool. Next to the fountain is a table with water so you can refresh yourself, along with the doors to the two saunas one dry, and one wet. To the left of the ice fountain is an outstanding lit pool where you can relax in the peaceful darkened spa.
The spacious women’s changing room offered lockers which could be locked by setting your own code, each containing a spa robe, slippers, and a soft towel. There were ample private changing rooms, bathrooms or showers, along with makeup counters with hair dryers, lotion and other supplies to help you freshen up after relaxing at the spa. Additionally, the changing rooms had a machine to dry your bathing suit in less than a minute which was very handy.
No matter if you are a guest of the hotel, or booked a day to pamper yourself at the spa, the scenic views from The ESPA At The Europe pools and luxurious detailings such as the chandeliers over the pool will make your visit memorable. This is the perfect location for couples looking for a romantic stay or friends looking to have the ultimate girls day.
