Flowernite Makes A Perfect Night Out

Earlier this year Flowernite launched, offering evening flower arranging classes in restaurants, cafes, and bars across Ottawa. The fun event combines socializing and flower arranging into a creative and relaxing evening.

If you are someone who loves flowers, Flowernite provides the perfect opportunity for you to be creative and design a beautiful flower arrangement for you to bring home. Within the class, the instructor will teach you the names of all the plants used and guide you step-by-step on where to place each bloom to re-create the example.

I adored the class, which I took at the Red Lion in the Byward Market as the entire room smelled like flowers which made it a relaxing after work activity. Attending the flower class with a friend it was a great way to socialize while learning a new skill. Within the class, you will also gain lots of useful information on how to work with flowers, so that you can better arrange flower the next time someone gives you a bouquet.

On the Flowernite website, you can quickly sort based on the location or browse to see what flower arrangement appeals to you the most. Or if you wish you can also book your private event which would be perfect for a birthday party.

Within the class you are also given freedom to be creative, so each flower arrangement is unique to the person designing it. For example, the two arrangments above are from the same class but made by two different people.

If you are looking to try one of the upcoming Flowernite events I suggest the Pretty in Pink class that combines roses and peonies for an arrangement of my two favorite flowers.

Depending on the season, Flowernite also offers seasonal arrangements. Leading up for Valentine’s Day there are classes like Love In The Air which would be the perfect way to celebrate Galentine’s Day by making a rose arrangement with your best friends.

I have to thank Flowernite for offering such wonderful classes – I’m eager to try my next workshop.
