A Stay At Hotel Diva In San Francisco

For part of my trip in San Francisco, I booked a few nights at Hotel Diva which is in the heart of Union Square a popular shopping area that is near many of the major attractions. While many tourists are aware of New York City’s infamously expensive nightly hotel rates, what many people do not realize is that the prices are exactly the same in San Fransico in the tourist areas. When searching for a hotel, I picked Hotel Diva as I was surprised to find the rates were very reasonable for a chic hotel.

Across the street from the American Conservatory Theater, and within Union Square it is the perfect location to walk to stores and the plentiful amount of nearby bars and restaurants. The hotel also happens to have a Starbucks next door, that connects inside Hotel Diva for all of you who want to get your Starbucks fix first thing in the morning.

One great feature about the hotel, is early in the evening guests can get a free cocktail at happy hour from the bar cart, which made for a fun way to start the evening before heading out for dinner with friends.

The ultra-modern hotel has a delightfully sexy vibe that I adored. The minimal decor is furnished in shades of black, white and gray with metal accents, along with playful window treatments of lingerie or high heel shoes that can be seen from outside the building as well.

I stayed for 3 nights at the hotel, in both the large queen sized suite and the standard room that includes two double beds, and the primary difference between the two was my larger queen suite had an additional living area with a couch, and the TV could be moved to position toward the bed or the living room area. Aside from the extra seating area, the other features were exactly the same including a desk and size of the washrooms.

Unfortunately, the bathrooms are not designed for divas, as they are tiny. There is a tiny bathroom, with the sink outside of bathroom with hardly and counter space. Normally I’m someone who looks forward to soaking in the tub in a hotel, but in these bathrooms, the tight space did have me wanting to get out of the room as quick as possible. The only thing I did appreciate in the bathroom was the included makeup facial wipes.

When booking my stay at Hotel Diva, one of the perks that I adored was you could get a driver pick you up at the airport and drop you off back at the airport at the end of your stay. Booking your drive was easy to do, as you are given access to booking the time online, and the driver will wait outside for you and take you to the hotel. Everything with the drive worked very smoothly, and by having the fee for the drive included in my room price, helped me save further as I didn’t need to pay for Uber or Taxi to the airport.

Despite the small bathrooms, I would return to Hotel Diva as everything else was amazing.
