When it comes to cookies, I can’t stand hard cookies. Either there are freshly made and not crispy, or it is a hard pass from me. If you feel the same as I do, Kash’s Kookies in Ottawa will deliver a batch of soft treats to your door.
The new local small business specializes in cookies. The flavours available are perfect for a chocoholic: chocolate chunk, triple chocolate chunk, m&m, milk/white chocolate chunk and s’mores.
My order was delivered in a festive Christmas container and had an assortment of all the flavours. The presentation was classic, with a diverse range of sweets in a resealable tin. The cookies themselves were all slightly varied and you could tell they were made by hand and not produced in a factory.
Out of all the options, my top pick was the classic chocolate chunk. It was nice and moist and tasted like they were freshly out of the oven.
But if you want to have a summer night classic, the s’mores is a solid choice. The dark chocolate and marshmallow is a sweet combination that will remind you of nights chatting with friends under the stars next to the fire pit.
Compared to other local retailers, the prices are much lower, making these sweets an affordable gift (to yourself or a friend).
