Skuish Cookies Delivered To Your Door In Ottawa

Cookies are the answer. Who cares what the question is. When it comes to cookies, the best ones are fresh out of the oven. But let’s face if you live alone or with one other person an entire dozen is way too much. But there is a solution to the problem. Skuish will deliver ready to bake cookies to your door in Ottawa.

Unlike other dessert delivery in Ottawa, Skuish delivers frozen raw cookies you need to bake yourself. The perk about this is you can get to enjoy the gooey and warm dessert fresh from the oven.

Each box comes with 12 giant frozen cookie balls that are a mix of three different flavours. All of the cookies come without eggs or butter.

How To Order

But you don’t get to pick the flavours inside the box. Inside, you need to subscribe to Squish and get notified when they do their “cookie drop.” Before the drop happens, you’ll get an email of the scheduled time and the three flavours in the box.

Just be warned, you’ll need to set a timmer as the cookies sell out in minutes. So you’ll want to set the alarm to make sure you don’t miss out.

My Experience

To test out Skuish I shared a box with a friend. For our order, it was birthday cake, Reese peanut butter cup and chocolate chip.

Upon opening the box, I was surprised by just how big the cookie balls were. It was nearly the size of my fist curled up. So much larger than when I make them at home.

The box had clear instructions too. You need to cook the cookies from frozen for 16-18 minutes. For a crisper less gooey cookie, wait until they are golden brown. Then all you need to do is wait for 5-10 minutes and enjoy.

Following the instructions, I opted to cook my cookies slightly 2 minutes longer – a total of 20 minutes before they looked a bit less gooey.

Even after 10 minutes of cooling time, they were really oilly and gooey. The cookies barely could hold together. After the first test, I certainly would cook them for much longer than the suggested time.

All of the cookies I found overly too sweet for me, and I have a sweet tooth. But it was the birthday cake that truly let me down.

The birthday cake was supposed to be white chocolate and sprinkles, but you wouldn’t believe what I found inside. There were Easter Cadbury eggs. I couldn’t believe in June, I was getting Easter candy that didn’t fit the theme.

Final Thoughts

I loved the idea of how Skuish would let you satisfy your craving for just one freshly baked cookie whenever you wanted. It couldn’t be easier, load up your freezer, and cook a cookie whenever a craving hits.

Unfortunately, making the cookies isn’t as simple as baking them. As there is such a limited supply each week, they sell out in a blink of an eye. For me, the “cookie drop” time slots were always when I was working, so I couldn’t make it.

Plus, I often only like 1-2 of the flavour options within the mix of three.

After testing out my first box, I was beyond disappointed with Skuish. Each box of 12 cookies costs a jaw-dropping $43.

So needless to say, I was expecting the best cookies I ever tasted for that price. But they were too sweet for me to enjoy.
