Napa Valley is famous around the world for producing extraordinary wine, and it has been my dream to visit for years. Finally finding myself in San Fransico, I made the short road trip to Napa Valley to visit local vineyards.
While in Napa I had the pleasure of visiting Spelletich Family Winery which is a family winery that offers tours and tasting by appointment.
Spelletich Winery In Napa Valley has been producing wine in Napa for over 20 years, and for my visit, I had the delight of meeting Barb the owner of the winery who provided me with a tour of her facilities and led the wine tasting of several of her wines.
It was delightful to see behind the scenes to see how the wine is made. Barb was extremely friendly and would answer any questions I might have too. While touring the modern site, you could really tell it was a family business they were passionate about. Walking around I got to meet Barb’s husband and even grandchildren who were all on site.

For the tasting, I got to try:
2011 3Spells Unoaked Chardonnay,
2013 Sweetspell Chardonnay
2012 Reserve Zinfandel
2011 Spellwine Cabernet Sauvignon
2005 Spellport
The wine tasting and tour cost $20.00 a person, and typically includes four wines (I was lucky and got to try 5), but the fee for the wine tasting is waved if you purchase two bottles of wine.
