Culinary travel is one of the most popular ways to explore a country, and one my favorite activities. This month, I received my first Tea Tourist box, which is a monthly subscription tea box. The idea behind Tea Tourist is each month you will be sent a new box of teas from around the world with a different theme. Then from the comforts of your home, you can sip on tea from around the world and discover some distinct tea blends from around the globe.
My first box was the Fine and Dandy tea box which was a collection of teas to promote good health. The box came with 6 bags of loose leaf tea which were:
Raspberry leaf tea – a fruity caffeine-free tea from Germany with apple, blackberry, and hibiscus
Liquorice peppermint soother– a soothing blend of chamomile, fennel, rose petals, aniseed
Perfect world tea – a herbal tea from Germany with refreshing peppermint and citrus accents
Hide and seek breakfast – a premium single-estate black tea from Nagland, India
Balance – a rooibos with notes of honey, toffee, apple, and vanilla
Yerba mate – a slightly bitter tea from South America with lots of health benefits
Each of the bags of teas came with an information card that included the ingredients, where the tea is from, the tasting notes and brewing instructions. Another nice feature was is you wanted more of a particular tea the information about where to buy the tea was also included on the information card.

All the teas in the Tea Tourist box were delicious, with the raspberry leaf tea being my particular favorite in the box. If you are looking for a fun gift idea for someone who likes to travel (or even for yourself), the boxes are 15 euros for one month or 12 euros if you sign up for the monthly subscription.
